A subsidized chipping service for Placer County residents: for $80 an hour a crew chips your piled vegetation and broadcasts the chips back onto the property, which is far below the retail cost of the same work. The cost-share fee may be waived entirely for landowners who meet the 'Very Low' income limit as defined by the Placer County housing department. Residential properties only — no commercial use, no vacant lots, and addresses inside the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency boundary are excluded. Requests go through the district's online portal or by phone.
