Storey County Fire Protection District

Any Storey County resident can reserve a district trailer, free, for up to one week, fill it with natural vegetation and debris cleared from around their home, and the fire district hauls it away and disposes of it. First come, first served - call 775-847-0954 to reserve. The same district also takes green waste from residents any day at Station 72 (2610 Cartwright Rd) at no cost, and will do a free 30-foot defensible space assessment of your property on request.
