A straightforward rebate of up to $500 for Boulder County residents — owners AND renters, in both incorporated towns and unincorporated county — who complete specific home-hardening actions: removing junipers, decluttering under decks, replacing the last 5 feet of attached fence with noncombustible material, converting the first five feet around the house to gravel or rock, covering the bottom 6 inches of siding, and screening vents with 1/8-inch mesh. For 2026 the application deadline is Oct. 8 and work must be finished by Oct. 29.
