You need a wildfire risk assessment first (also free), then you hand-pile dry material — pieces 5 inches or smaller, stacks no higher than 4 feet, reachable by a road-legal truck — and their crew chips it. Spring capacity is currently full with a waitlist open for fall. The district also runs a separate Defensible Space Recovery Program (thinning, brushing, tree felling) for residents in the Burdoin Fire area.
