Free green-waste-only disposal for all Coconino County residents at the county's Willard Springs site, about 15 miles south of Flagstaff just west of I-17 at exit 326. Open Fridays and Saturdays through October, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., last load through the gate at 4:30. Takes pine needles, branches, leaves and brush. The county operates a second green waste site at Mormon Lake. This covers the disposal half of defensible-space work only; there is no money toward the clearing itself.
