If you cancel a paid plan, you simply drop back to the free tier; you do not lose your watched address or your core alerts.

New wildfire incidents come from the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), fire-weather and Red Flag Warnings from the National Weather Service (NWS), satellite heat detection from NASA FIRMS (VIIRS/MODIS), and your risk score is built on federal hazard data including the U.S. Forest Service and FEMA. We fuse these signals rather than relying on any single feed.

Free email and push can sit unseen in an inbox; Protected adds an SMS text and, for evacuation-level events, a phone call that keeps escalating until you confirm you’re safe — plus whole-family sharing so the people you love get the same alert. No system can promise perfect delivery (carrier, device and network conditions are outside our control), which is why we send across multiple channels and why alerts are awareness notices, not a substitute for official orders from local authorities and 911.

Guardian is for people with multiple properties or a business: it adds satellite heat detection (the earliest possible signal), up to 50 addresses, API access and priority monitoring.
