Awareness only — not an emergency service

FireRisk.ai wildfire alerts are an informational, awareness-only service. We are not an emergency, evacuation, or life-safety service. Alerts are generated from official public feeds (NIFC, the National Weather Service, EPA AirNow, and state & county evacuation feeds including Genasys Protect) and may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or missed entirely. Never make a safety, evacuation, or property decision based on a FireRisk.ai alert alone — always verify through official channels first. Always follow official authorities, your local emergency management agency, Genasys Protect, and Watch Duty, and call 911 in an emergency. The FireRisk.ai Terms of Use — including their disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and dispute-resolution provisions — are incorporated into and govern this alert service.

What you're signing up for

When you create an alert, FireRisk.ai monitors official feeds for the place and triggers you choose and attempts to notify you when those feeds show something you asked about happening nearby — subject to the delays, gaps, and failure modes described above. Alerts can be delivered by email and — if you provide and verify a mobile number and give the additional consent below — by SMS text message, and (where offered) by automated voice call for the most serious, evacuation-level events.

Text message (SMS) program terms

  • Program: FireRisk.ai Wildfire Alerts.
  • What you'll receive: recurring automated text messages about wildfire activity, fire-weather warnings, and air-quality conditions for the location(s) and triggers you selected.
  • Message frequency: varies — it depends on fire activity near your location. During an active event you may receive several messages; during quiet periods you may receive none.
  • Cost: Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier plan. FireRisk.ai does not charge for alerts.
  • Consent is not a condition: agreeing to receive texts is not required to use FireRisk.ai or any of its tools, and is not a condition of any purchase.
  • Opt out anytime: reply STOP to any message to cancel text alerts. Reply HELP for help. You can also manage or remove alerts using the unsubscribe link in any alert email.
  • Verification: we send a one-time code to confirm you own the number before any alerts are enabled. We will never enable texts for an unverified number.
  • Supported carriers: major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Automated voice calls (where offered)

If you opt in to voice calls, FireRisk.ai may place automated, prerecorded or synthesized-voice calls to your verified number, reserved for the most serious evacuation-level events. Standard call rates may apply. You may opt out of calls at any time by following the prompts in the call or by contacting us. Consent to receive automated calls is not a condition of any purchase or service.

Quiet hours & emergency override

You may set quiet hours during which non-urgent alerts are held. Alerts our system classifies as evacuation-level are sent even during your quiet hours; by enabling alerts you acknowledge and agree to this override. Like every alert we send, override delivery is best-effort — this does not change the awareness-only nature of the service and is not a promise that any alert will be sent or delivered.

Data & privacy

We use your email, verified phone number, and the location(s) you enter solely to operate your alerts. We do not sell your phone number. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is handled.

Point-of-opt-in disclosure

The consent you agree to when enabling text alerts reads: "By checking this box I authorize FireRisk.ai to send recurring automated wildfire alert text messages (and, if enabled, automated voice calls) to the mobile number I verified. Message frequency varies with fire activity. Message & data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help."
